We had our December meeting in Godfather’s and the out going officers appreciated a good turnout. Lee Machmuller was elected as our new president, Jason Ashford was elected vice-president, and Fran Schaaf is the new editor of the monthly newsletter. Floyd asked to be relieved of his duties of vice president due to health and lack of time. As usual, our pizza meetings seem to go over quite well in the cold of winter, however, our next meeting will be at Fonner Park for our auction Jan. 5^th, 2002, at 5:30P.M. to set up the tables and chairs.

Our Christmas and New Year’s party is to be held at Jason Ashford’s home on Jan. 19, 2002, starting at 6:30 P.M. for cocktails and we’re planning to eat at 7:00 P.M. It was decided that the club will purchase the meat and all attending are to bring a covered dish and a dessert. The meat dish will be prime-rib so plan your covered dish accordingly. This is also BYOB. We will try and have the mixes. Since we have to know how much prime-rib to buy we will need to know of your intent no latter than JANUARY 15, 2002. Please return your RSVP to Jason @ 384-4965, Fran @ 382-1623 or Mark at 382-3371. Since I am cooking the prime-rib, I will plan on servings only for the number of guests returning a call. PLEASE do not ignore this.

We also agreed that those who come are to bring an uni-sex gift between $5.00 and $10.00 (gift certificates are acceptable.) Everyone who brings a gift will get one. I know it will be hard and require some doing but try to hold off on gag gifts. With a little effort this can be accomplished.

Our next special event will be the mall show in February. As far as I know, no fixed date is scheduled. If anybody knows differently let me know so that I can get the word out.

We are having our auction in just a couple of weeks and I have nothing in the "Swap & For Sale" column. I have made arrangements to have the newsletter published on the web on our home page so the rest of the clubs who are interested will know of our doings.

This is all of the news of events that happened in Dec. So, I hope to see you at the PARTY. Don’t forget to call Jason, Mark, or myself of your intent. (It would be a heck of a deal if we ran out of prime-rib and have to have some of you eat hot-dogs, which could happen if you don’t call.)
